Many agencies talk about transparency and neutrality today but the7stars really pioneered this, and I believe we’re still among a minority that truly live and breathe these values. I’ve never been incentivised or pressured to “sell” anything. It’s liberating to work in an environment where the objective is just to do the best work you can and build better relationships. Clients can really trust us as partners and having those honest relationships feels great. Our culture and structure also mean that I have had opportunities to develop my career in ways that wouldn’t have otherwise been afforded to me.

My favourite part of working at the7stars is that it’s clear to see the company genuinely takes pride in your personal development. Joining as a graduate, I received two years of excellent training to get me up to speed with media, but the opportunities to grow didn’t end with the grad scheme. Whether it’s the one-to-one coaching sessions, enrolling in industry courses, or engaging talks from experts, the7stars continually looks for ways to empower us in our work.

My favourite thing about the7stars was perhaps the thing that seemed oddest to me before I joined – the linear structure – after coming from network agencies where my career was laid down as steps on a ladder with progression from one title to another – it has been surprisingly refreshing to not be shackled by or obsessed over hitting the next title change. Now I have more freedom in my career, I can carve my own path, get involved in different projects beyond that of my “job spec” and focus on what I enjoy doing most in media. I can go out and understand new trends and work with talented people in the agency to see how we could apply these for our clients. It certainly makes for a more interesting day job – and career! Can’t not love the people either.
